I am talking about the challenges of perfectionism in the context of organizing spaces, particularly when working with clients who struggle to even start due to their perfectionist tendencies.
Some clients feel overwhelmed by the idea that their space won’t be “perfect” and as a result, they avoid taking action altogether.
Additionally, even when progress is made, these clients may fixate on what's still left to do instead of recognizing how far they’ve come.
The approach involves emphasizing functionality over perfection, which can help clients make more manageable improvements to their space and alleviate some of the pressure perfectionism puts on them.
I bring up the idea of celebrating the progress instead of focusing on what hasn't been accomplished yet.
Do you struggle with perfectionism in any area of your life or have you seen others wrestle with this?
